Tech Tip – Stabiliser Legs

Stabilizer legs… They are a very important part of any modern day Caravan or Camper Trailer. It is important to note that the stabilizer leg has its maximum load bearing capacity when it is positioned straight up and down or at 90 degrees. Therefore, if the stabilizer leg is moved forward or backward it will lose some of its load bearing capacity.

So you’ve just pulled up, dropped the stabilizer legs and you are ready to wind them down. There is absolutely nothing wrong with simply using the manual winder handle that often comes with your camper trailer or caravan however, a little handy hint, if you grab an impact screw driver with the correct sized socket and put it into the manual winding socket it will make this step even more easy leaving extra time for enjoying your trip away!
